Friends, can I just take a minute to vent?
Before I do, there is one important thing I need to say: I am extremely grateful to be pregnant and blessed to bring a child (what a miracle) into this world.
With that said...I feel so uncomfortable today. I had the hardest time falling asleep last night (too hot, couldn't get comfortable on either side), and my 7am conference call came so early this morning (who can talk and be coherent that early?). I have TONS of work deadlines in the next month and need every minute to be focused and working hard (so I don't have to take work home with me). But I cannot concentrate because my lower back is achy and I have this weird side stitch that keeps recurring (evidently I am working too hard walking to the copier or water cooler and back). I keep attributing all my weird pains to growing pains. And find that something different is new and weird every week. I have been reassured by many women that this is completely normal. However, today I just need to say that I am not happy with being normal. I am uncomfortable and clearly grouchy. Tell my work to move my desk next to the bathroom so the trip back and forth is shorter and I waste less time making the hourly trip.
AND the most annoying thing of all: I am tired of eating, but I'm still hungry (starving, in fact). Today I cannot eat another pretzel, yogurt, apple or almond. Healthy snacks be damned - give me a cookie or a piece of cake or a burrito!
I feel much better. I hope my grandmother and mother don't read this post...

I think the problem is not pregnancy, but eating healthy snacks. I support eating burritos and cake. Hope you feel better tomorrow!
Em, the sleeping thing only gets worse! I am so sorry! Buy a big body pillow and cuddle up with it at night! And open your window really wide and cover up your heat vent, because the colder your room the better you will sleep (at least that's how it was for me)...it's worth the extra money you'll pay for your heating bill. If Troy gets cold he can sleep downstairs!! :) Good luck!
Those pains are normal but uncomfortable anyway! Hang in there. I don't think pregnancy is fun at all, but it sure is worth it in the end.
PS Did you hear we are having a boy?
Hang in there! It will all be a distant memory someday...how else would we be willing to do it again for more kids? :)
