Friends, I'm taking a quick break from work and I was looking at my blog. I realized that I have not posted anything about Christmas. Let me say to all of you, a very belated Merry Christmas. I did not get my Christmas cards mailed out this year. Let's be honest, the first tri-mester of pregnancy is not a time you want pictures to be taken. And it was one more thing to add to my stress that I could not handle this year. But thank you all for your lovely cards. I have them posted on this magnet board at my house and I love looking at them. I kept your envelopes so I have everyone's address and I will hopefully send out a little note soon. (Is next Christmas soon?) Some of you still have our address in Sandy and we have moved. Your cards were forwarded to me this year, but I'll need to update those addresses by next year.
We enjoyed a really relaxing Christmas holiday and I am so grateful for that - a relaxing break was the one thing I wanted for Christmas and it was an awesome gift! We spent the evening of the 23rd with my family at my brother's house in Lehi. We had awesome traditional dinner thanks to my mom. The 24th I had my parents, my sis & her hubs, and my in-laws and T's Gma over for dinner. It was so fun to have people over to our house (we don't do that enough). We had a really low-key dinner (after I stood in line for an hour the day before to pick up my honey baked ham and turkey). After the parents left we played board games, which is another thing we don't do enough. Note to those reading: do not play trivia games with my husband. His mind records useless information and he recalls it all to win these pointless games!
Christmas Day we went out to spend the day with Troy's family. We played games and went to see Sherlock Holmes. Lots of fun. Weird that we didn't have any small kids around this year, but next year will make up for it with our new baby & Troy's sis is having their first this month.
New Year's was another relaxing weekend. We went out to Troy's sister's house where we stayed for the next 26 hours or so! We played boardgames, wii, xbox, and had a great time. Six adults in their pjs for the entire NY's day. How our lives will all be changing in the next year!
I'm looking forward to the new things that 2010 will bring. (And I am so happy that I did not have to make a NY's resolution to lose weight! I'll save that until after the baby is born.)
What other resolutions should I be making? Any good suggestions out there?
