Weekly Update

I'm attempting to update my blog more often, and decided I would update today, but I am struggling with what to write!

Good news - Troy's sister and bro-in-law had their baby girl Friday morning. She is a beautiful, healthy baby (and mom is doing well). We enjoyed our visit with them Friday afternoon. Out of respect for them, I will not post her picture on the web, but she is adorable! You will have to take my word for it.

It's been a whirlwind the last few days since we found out we're having a baby boy. My mother-in-law is excited to get started making baby blankets, so we met her at the fabric store Saturday. I really had no clue what we were getting into - it took us 4 hours!! Troy came too since he had to reign me in a little bit (I still choose too girly of fabrics for his taste. Can I help it if I like brown & teal together?) It ended up being a lot of fun and I am excited for all the cool blankets we picked out. (Couple of monkey blankets, jungle theme, baseball, car set cover, feel-good blanket) I can't wait to see the finished products!

Troy's family calls our baby a monkey, so we decided to call him Curious George to be funny (and because we don't want to tell everyone the name we picked in case we change our minds). Funny to admit that the joke led us to choosing a jungle theme for the nursery. This week I'm choosing a paint color for our nursery. Baby planning mode has kicked in!
