It's Friday, need I say more?! I'm ready for this weekend to start anytime.
I'm helping with my sis in law's baby shower next weekend. I just remembered a funny story that goes along with this and I wondered if anyone else has ever had a similar experience.
A few weekends ago, Troy & I were in Park City at the outlet mall. We walked by the Carters store and thought we would pick up something for Lindsey's baby shower. It was a Saturday and the outlets were relatively busy, but for the most part it was not too bad...until we went into Carters. The store was packed with racks of clothes not intended for the claustrophobic to pass, with parents, crying kids, toddlers running loose, strollers, and then that SMELL. It was like dirty diaper and spoiled milk x 10. We took 2 steps each into the store and looked around (and sniffed around), then at each other (who we knew smelled good), and turned and walked out.
We decided you have to be very motivated to go into that store, and we were not ready to deal with that. I worry what this may say about our ability to handle parenthood. I guess it's good we don't have to deal with it for awhile! (But I doubt we'll ever shop at that Carters even when we do have kids!)

ROLF. The Carter's store at Jordan Landing is the same as the one in Park City, and it's never crowded or stinky, and MUCH closer. They have cute clothes there that I have a hard time resisting. I always stock up for next year when they close out the old stuff. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason to go to the Park City outlets is Harry and David's. LOVE those chocolate covered cherries.
That is nasty! LOL! I just wanted to pop in to say "hi"! Glad to hear you're doing so great. :) Love ya!
Em, you make me laugh!! I guess once you've changed hundreds (thousands?) of diapers, you just get used to the smell. :) And when you realize how much money it costs to clothe your children, those outlet stores are worth going into. But I do most of my shopping online now - I love childrensplace.com!
