I wanted to make my first ever diaper cake, and I wanted it to be really cute. So, I did what I always do when I start "creative" projects - I called in help - April! We have lots of stories on projects and I think our attempts to tackle anything creative stems from when we were roommates and discovered Trading Spaces together (back in its early seasons before the designers got too crazy). So, April helped me buy diapers (good thing her sister could tell us a good brand & size) & then we had fun picking out other cute stuff to put on the cake. Here's the finished product and very cute, if I do say so myself! Thanks for your help, April!

Here is a collage of other fun shower pictures. Troy's aunts and mom make blankets - and lots of them for the baby showers. It cracks me up every time because they trade them around and look at the different stitches, etc. They do a great job (and may I say for future reference that my mom is very happy I married into this family). And everyone loves to buy baby girl clothes - we tried to find another word besides "cute" to describe them all, but that is a challenge that was not met!
We're excited to meet baby girl Williams in January.

I was going to gush over how cute the cake was and how awesome you and whoever helped you must be but you mentioned that I helped. Feelings are still the same but due to humility I won't mention it.
Hey, you didn't tell me you got help on that cake! Well, it looks really cute, anyway.
What an awesome cake! Good job to you and April! And I love the pink and brown color scheme for baby girls. Pink and black is really cute too, especially for older girls (I'm thinking about it for Macie's room).
And on a side note, I loved your white sweater in the pictures! I sometimes forget that it's sweater season in other parts of the country. It was 75 here today. :)
